Reality Bites (My Ear Off And Then Proceeds to Spit It In My Face)

Broadway Bombing 2010 from crihs on Vimeo.

Reality came knocking on my door this morning, and before I could answer, reality kicked the door down and proceeded to beat me in the face with a shovel for twenty minutes. Which is my way of saying that things might get a little quiet around here for a while.

Although you might find things a little noisier on Bike Rumor soon.

The above video? It has "I will Refuse" by Pailhead as the soundtrack, a win in my book. Reading the comments below it over on Vimeo isn't too not-funny either —

"So boring to ride on road bike with the brakes through the city. Where is your fixed gears bikes with no brakes?"

One gear on his bike and one year of English in high school.

Speaking of eating human flesh, I've been enjoying the Walking Dead miniseries on AMC. It's pretty good, lot's of zombie heads getting blown off with shotguns. They tend to leave the gore on the camera lens too, which is nice....

while I love watching alleycat videos and I'm sure they are fun to ride in, I can't help but think of how many people must get pissed off at all cyclists because of these events.

The alley cat- I do not think people in the city can distinguish the difference between an alley cat race and just general inner city bike non-sense. Those cats are going to ride recklessly regardless of race.
I understand the need to race- just do not understand the risk to reward. All you get for taking major risks in an alley cat is a spoke card for the most part...but now that I think of it all I get for racing mountain bikes (for the most part) is a number plate...
